Q: Will you make my floor to match an existing stain color we like or can you vary the size of the bevel, amount of distressing, lighter or heavier scrape?
A: Of course we will! We require a color match from you that is on a piece of wood equal to 1 Square Foot in any dimension. It can be a cabinet face, piece of moulding, etc. We then provide you with an 18 " x 24" custom sample for your approval.

Q: Can these floors be installed commercially?
A: Yes! Our floors are in restaurants, fine boutiques, lobbies of resort hotels, country club dining rooms, law offices, etc.

Q: Can these floors be installed in high rise condominiums and meet codes for sound transmission?
A: Both our engineered and solid floors have been installed in numerous condominiums nation-wide. We provide underlayments for both engineered and solid floors that exceed building codes for sound dampening.

Q: Can we buy the floors completely prepared but unfinished? My installer wants to use his own stains and finishes.
A: Yes! Approximately 20% of our floors are unfinished for on site custom stain and finish. This can also reduce your price per square foot.

Q: Is your finish as durable when compared to other factory pre-finished floors?
A: For our two final topcoats, we use the most technologically advanced water based finish from Germany. This finish provides scratch and chemical resistance that equals or exceeds factory finishes.

Q: Will you give me a quote using a different species of wood other than the list in The Collection?
A: Yes! We've made custom floors from Teak, Kona, Jatoba, Butternut, Mahogany and many others. Get a quote from your installer or distributor.

Q: Can you provide us with stair treads with returns, nosings, risers or skirt boards?
A: Yes! The Palo Duro Companies is the most completely integrated and diverse source for wood flooring products in the U.S. We have our own 65,000 Square Foot Mill that can make any moulding or stair part to match your floor.
